What you need to consider

  • Safety
  • Enjoyability once you’re there
  • Financial – refund policies should you need to cancel
  • Insurance – many policies don’t cover COVID-19 when travelling
  • Distance/timing

Is it safe to fly?

Before flight

  • Email notification
  • Touchless check in
  • Temperature check and health questionnaires
  • Signage throughout the airport, lounges remain restricted
  • Face coverings required

During flight

  • Face coverings are required
  • Sanitization between flights
  • Care and sanitization kits being handed out by airlines
  • No more food on domestic flights

Where can I go? What about when I land/arrive?

  • Canadians can visit Ontario, Quebec, Sask., Alta., and B.C. without self-isolation
  • Visitors to Yukon, Manitoba, N.S., may be required to self-isolate
  • Atlantic Canada’s eastern provinces are in a bubble so they can travel within
  • Time-to-travel.ca is great to punch in your province of residence and where you can visit
  • Where you can travel internationally, too

Your travel safety checklist

  • Triple check your itinerary and current restrictions
  • Have a plan if you have to self-isolate
  • Read up on insurance
  • Plan your health and safety plan (i.e. what will you need to bring)
  • ArriveCAN for if you’re travelling internationally
