NEXUS cardholders: TSA adds 9 new airlines to program

A huge benefit for Canadians who sign up for NEXUS—the pre-screening agency aimed to help frequent flyers get through security faster—is access to TSA Precheck lanes at many U.S. airports. It has saved my life.

TSA has added nine new airlines to its program Thursday, including:

  • Air India
  • Asiana Airlines
  • China Airlines
  • Eastern Airlines
  • Elite Airways
  • EVA Air
  • Japan Airlines
  • TAP Air Portugal
  • Volaris

These changes will help those travelling through or originating from the U.S., with a handful of these airlines being Star Alliance partners (Air India, Asiana Airlines, EVA Air, and TAP Air Portugal).

For approved NEXUS members, passengers will have access to NEXUS kiosks when entering Canada, U.S. Global Entry, as well as TSA Precheck. Cost of membership is $50 CAD/US for five year.
