Swiss International Air Lines is looking to introduce a new offering, but you’ll have to wait a while.
SWISS will introduce a new premium economy class on long-haul aircrafts starting spring 2021.
This move comes as more airlines are including an upscale economy product that appeals to a traveller looking for more service, with less cost of business class. SWISS aims to bolster its brand as a premium air carrier.
Their Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will have a 24-seat premium economy cabin, with the aim to roll out to the entire long-haul fleet.
“All in all, our Premium Economy Class travellers will enjoy a substantially stronger sense of personal space,” Tamur Goudarzi Pour, SWISS’s chief commercial officer said.
Premium economy will join the other three classes, first, business, and economy, and passengers will have more personal space, legroom, and elevated service.
