A new survey by travel reviews website TripAdvisor offers some recognition to Canadian airlines.
The results of the Travellers’ Choice awards came out Tuesday, and in the North American category, Air Canada and WestJet won best business class and best Canadian airline, respectively.
Internationally, Singapore Airlines has once again won the best airline category, followed by Qatar Airways and Taiwanese airline EVA Air. Southwest was the only North American carrier in the top 10.
TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice award analyzed flyer reviews and the quality and quantity of service throughout 2018 in a lucrative air-travel industry that’s left airlines having to refine and enhance offerings across the board.
“Congratulations to the fifty plus airlines around the globe that won this prestigious award, including Singapore Airlines for the second year in a row and Southwest in the U.S.,” said Bryan Saltzburg, president of TripAdvisor Flights, Cruise & Car. “The airline industry continues to focus on improving the overall flying experience, and these award-winning carriers are at the forefront. Airlines worldwide recognize this Travelers’ Choice award as a huge testament to consumer recognition.”
