What you need to know about weather impacting Easter travel

A storm moving its way through the east will be getting warm temperature, but with it comes a lot of wet weather.

Heavy rain, thunderstorms, high winds are expected to affect travel over the weekend, bringing upwards of 80mm of rain to parts of Canada and the U.S.

Localized flooding can be expected in areas from the mid-atlantic through New England, and a system will stall over the Great Lakes, impacting travel along the East Coast.

One airline is issuing travel advisories, with more possible as we move into the weekend. Delta will be waiving change fees to and from Baltimore, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. Air Canada has some warnings for flights out of Toronto-Pearson.

It should clear out by Sunday, but worth taking note if you’re headed to visit family this week.
