New ‘Quiet Mode’ in Uber Black will allow riders to tell driver to hush

We’ve all been there. We’re sitting inside an Uber and the driver has someone on speakerphone or is talking on their bluetooth headset. Well, things might be changing, for some anyways.

Uber is rolling out a new feature to its deluxe, Uber Black service that will see riders have more control including requesting a few preferences prior to getting in the car.

Features include letting the driver know you’d like a quiet ride or if you’re in a mood to socialize. You can also request a temperature preference and if you need any assistance with luggage.

Lastly, riders of Uber Black will have access to a special support line that will offer “enhanced” assistance.
