Toddler injured after being swept away on baggage carousel

A two-year-old boy is recovering from injuries after being swept away onto a moving baggage carousel at Hartfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Cameras caught the incident on closed-circuit TV.

The child had slipped away from his mother at the Spirit Airlines ticket counter, when he climbed onto the moving conveyor belt and even fell through the luggage chute.

Airport staff rescued the child and returned him to his mother, but suffered a fractured hand. Airport officials are now investigating.
