Apple’s iOS 4.3 beta 1 was recently released to developers with new functionality being discovered by the feature-hungry crowd.
Ever since the announcement of the iPhone 4 on Verizon Wireless, many questions have surfaced regarding the Personal Hotspot and whether that feature will make its way to AT&T and other GSM iPhone providers around the world.
A new screenshot was recently discovered by aMacRumors Forumsmember confirming that Personal Hotspot functionality is enabled in Canada and is working on Rogers Wireless.
Later on (courtesy of iPhoneinCanada.ca), Twitter user “@iRuni_” discovered that it worked on Rogers’ subsidiary, Fido as well.
This just adds confirmation to the speculation that other cell carriers will be possibly rolling out support for Personal Hotspot in iOS 4.3 and that not only Verizon users can have access to that feature.
Whether it will boil down to extra costs for the end user on their high-enough cell phone bills, for that, we’ll have to wait and see.
