OpenTable diners can trade in points for travel

In an interesting move, U.S. users of restaurant reservation platform OpenTable can redeem their points for travel on sister website, Kayak.

Instructions posted on Kayak.com

Users will utilize a special OpenTable website to find hotels, redeem dining points in exchange for travel credit, and pay for the remainder of the cost. Sounds easy, doesn’t it?

For 2,000 points, you can redeem $40 in travel credit on Kayak, and you can still use the points towards restaurants or a $10 credit on Amazon.
