Mother left her baby at the terminal, flight returns to airport

A forgetful mother flying to Kuala Lumpur from Saudi Arabia caused a plane to turn around after she realized she left her baby back at the airport.

The Gulf News reported pilots requested the turn-around after the mother notified crew the child was still in the terminal.

“May God be with us. Can we come back?” the pilot said in Arabic in a video posted to YouTube.

Air traffic control authorized the return of flight SV832, though it was unclear whether the aircraft was on the tarmac or in the air.

“Ok, head back to the gate. This is totally a new one for us,” they said at ATC.

Once the plane returned to the gate, the mother was reunited with her baby, The Independent reported.
