Calgary-based air carrier WestJet unveiled more details on their Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights that will start between Calgary and Toronto Wednesday.
The airline has ordered 10 Dreamliners, with an option to order 10 more in the future.
The interior mirrors that of Air Canada’s offering, featuring a full-service Business class, in-between Premium Economy, and Economy cabins.
Travellers of the business class cabin will receive priority check-in, baggage, and boarding, as well as access to new lounges in Calgary and Toronto. Additionally, the lay-flat pods will have hot towel service, choice meal offerings, wine menu, and more.
All flyers will notice enhancements like larger windows, technology to reduce in-flight vibrations, and lighting to help reduce jet lag.
WestJet will launch service with the 787 to London-Gatwick, Paris, and Dublin, starting from Calgary, with intentions to roll out to other Canadian hubs as more aircrafts are delivered.
