Guess it wasn’t such a lucky move.
Chinese airline Lucky Air is suing a passenger who threw coins into the plane’s engine for “good luck.” This grounded the Kunming-bound flight from Anqing, China.
As a result of passenger, who goes by “Lu,” 162 passengers had to be rebooked and flown out the following day, costing the low-cost carrier 140,000 yuan, approximately CAD $27,645. Now, Lucky Air is taking legal action against the passenger.
Lu, 28, pleaded innocence, citing the move was simply to bring the plane “good luck.” Not such good luck as he was detained for seven days.
Moral of the story: just don’t do it.
