Air Canada flights to India are cleared to take off again tonight.
Toronto-Delhi and Vancouver-Delhi are back on Thursday and Friday after Canada’s largest air carrier grounded flights amidst increasing tensions between India and Pakistan Wednesday.
Pakistan air space was closed, forcing many airlines around the world to divert, delay, or flat-out cancel flights.
A Delhi-bound Air Canada flight was forced to turn around more than half way Wednesday afternoon, causing frustration for passengers on board.
AC42 (Toronto-Delhi) and AC44 (Vancouver-Delhi) will resume, however the airline is maintaining a flexible rebooking policy should passengers want to change their travel plans.
