A woman is gaining attention around the world after she was detailed for bring CBD oil to Disney World.
Hester Burkhalter, 69, is a great-grandmother who was with her family from North Carolina when security at Disney found CBD oil in her purse. It was reportedly to assist with her arthritis.
Burkhalter was then arrested by police at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. A prescription and a medical marijuana card are required if there is THC in the oil, and she only had a letter from her physician back home.
The officer reportedly identified THC in the oil itself. She spent time in jail until bail was posted, and Burkhalter has since had all charges dropped against her.
Moral of the story: Don’t bring CBD oil to Disney World.
