Remember the movie, “Night at the Museum”? Well, this is your chance to live that dream.
Short-term stay website Airbnb announced they are joining forces with the famous Musée du Louvre in Paris to give one contest winner “unrivaled access to the museum and its masterpieces.”
You’ll be able to sleep under the stars in a mini replica of the Louvre’s glass pyramid, inside the real thing. The museum, to be transformed into a magical home for a night, will also offer a unique, close-up experience with masterpieces like the iconic Mona Lisa from a private tour of an art-historian. Those previously given the same treatment include Barack Obama, Beyoncé, and Jay-Z.
“Once they have discovered the museum’s wonders, the duo will enjoy their Home for the night in the presence of some truly legendary hosts: they will toast the Mona Lisa with a cosy Renaissance inspired aperitif, while relaxing on a sumptuous Parisian lounge sofa, listening to the atmospheric sounds of French music on vinyl records,” the contest ad says.
“Venus of Milo, the Greek goddess of love and beauty, will then “host” an extravagant feast in a pop up dining room. And lastly, guests will be treated to an intimate acoustic concert in Napoleon III’s lavish Apartments.”
Building on the contest, the website will also offer a series of Airbnb Experiences that can be booked through the end of the year, so you at home can have an up-close-and-personal experience at the Louvre, too.
To enter, simply go to airbnb.com/louvre before April 12, 2019, and tell them why would you be the Mona Lisa’s perfect guest? One winner will be selected.
