Securing your home with Rogers Smart Home Monitoring – The Digital Life

There are many great options when it comes to protecting your home, and throughout the past few years, technology has become more refined, and connected to you when you are away.

If you are a new home owner, or looking at possible new options, Rogers has a great new home security system, branded the Rogers Smart Home Monitoring system.

The folks over at Rogers have created this system on three main principals to make it easy for you to stay connected to your home.

Ultimate Reliability & Security

The system operates reliably and securely 24 hours, 7 days a week, so you’re always in the know of what’s happening in your house. It is professionally staffed with a Central Monitoring Station. Smoke, carbon monoxide and water leak sensors are installed, protecting you day and night. For your security, there is no phone line to cut, so if something happens, it communicates via the reliable Rogers cellphone network.

Always Connected

You are always connected with Rogers Smart Home Monitoring. You get instant personalized alerts, so you can choose what you want to be alerted for, and the frequency of the alerts. You can remain connected via your computer at your office, your smartphone on the go including the iPhone, or even a tablet in your local coffee shop. You can find the handy iPhone app in the iTunes app store, and an Android and BlackBerry apps are set to be available later this year. Whether you are 5 kilometres from your home, or 5000 kilometres, you’re always connected.

Easy Home Automation

When the system is installed, your home is setup to be easily automated, even when you are on vacation. Many parts of your house can be controlled automatically and remotely, from your heating and air conditioning, to lighting, appliances, and more. No need for little plug-in timers around the house! You save energy, time, and money!

On the technology side, the system comes with a handy tablet touchpad for you to control the home system. If the power goes out, we know it does at the most inconvenient times, there is a battery backup supply for up to 24-hours.

As for pricing, the Touchpad will cost you $149.99 (3-year contract), or $749.99 (no-term). There is a one time installation price of $99, and monthly plans vary from $39.99/month to $57.99/month, depending on the level of protection needed.
